Swimming and Diving at Mayde Creek
MCHS Swimming has a long history of success, including decades of district and regional medalists and champions and 11 years of State Qualifiers and Finalists. We are excited to return Mayde Creek Swimming to its position as a district powerhouse.
Historically swimming has been a “no-cut” sport at MCHS, meaning that all students who have wished to participate have been able to do so at some level. It should be noted, however, that swimming is a demanding sport, requiring not just physical fitness (which it most certainly does) but also mental strength and focus. Athletes on the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams will earn for themselves and for the swimming program a reputation for being amongst the hardest training and toughest athletes at Mayde Creek High School.
All students are welcome, but not all withstand the rigorous work-ethic our sport demands. If you would like to test yourself, your limits, your strengths and abilities, please plan to attend our one-week training camp before school starts. Information about this training camp will be delivered to interested students through social media via twitter ( X ). @MCHS_Swimming
